My Barbie Doll Collection

Hello everyone!

Something you might not know about me (unless you've come from my doll blog, which I officially shut down about a year ago -- wow, I admire you for sticking with me that long) is that I collect dolls. It used to be American Girl Dolls, but now it's more along the lines of vintage dolls, as well as Collector Barbies.

I thought it would be fun to show you guys my collection of Barbie dolls so far. If you want to see them, just keep reading!

Fall Clothing Haul

Hello everyone!

Today's post is actually going to be a video! I went on a mini shopping trip recently and got some clothes, so I decided to show you guys.

Just a disclaimer, I'm not trying to brag. I just love watching haul videos so I thought it would be fun to do one on my own. If you want to see what I purchased, then just keep reading!

A Summer Dress

Hello everyone!

* * *

In today's post I have one of my favorite dresses! The colors are much more vibrant in real life than they look in the pictures, and I just love the fluttery sleeves. I got this dress at Khols. It's Lauren Conrad. Seriously, guys, Lauren Conrad (the clothing brand) is AMAZING. Half my modern clothes are from there.

Then, I have my go-to white heels, also from Khols. I've had these for a year and I wear them way too much.

Finally, I've got what I like to call my Susan headband, because it closely resembles the crown Susan Pevensie has on at the coronation scene in the first Narnia movie. :) It's also from Khols.

Everything in this outfit is from Khols, hahaha. I love that store, though! It has a very wide selection of clothes.

I can't believe school is starting soon . . . I start my homeschool up again this Monday. Call me crazy, but I do quite like school. It makes me feel very productive to get up early in the morning and . . . you know . . . learn stuff. :P

The school year will also give me tons more time to post. I've just been SO DARN BUSY. I'm very sorry. I will be as consistent as possible with posting once a week now, on Thursdays. :)

Thanks everyone for reading!
Have you started school yet? Where's your favorite place to shop?

Burgers, Cleaning, and Antique Shopping

Hello everyone!

I am back from my vacation! It wasn't a vacation in the sense of palm trees and swimming, but I did have a break from technology (no internet, and I only have an iPod) AND I got to see two of my awesome family members who live two-thousand miles away. I'm going to go through some of my favorite parts of what I did! :)

June 2017 Wrap-Up

As you are reading this, I am probably on vacation. I won't have internet, and I'll be gone for two weeks, so I won't be approving or replying to comments until I get back. Please do leave comments, though, as I love reading them! It makes my day!

Today's post is going to be a wrap-up of the month of June. If you're interested in what I've been up to this month, just keep reading!

Small Bookshelf Tour

Hello! Welcome back!

Me being the bookworm I am, I thought it would be fun to show you guys my many bookshelves and how I organize my (quite large) book collection. My first one is very small and doesn't hold a lot. I thought it would be a good shelf to start with.

I'll be talking about the books on the shelf and showing pictures of some of my favorites! (A lot of them are really neat vintage ones . . . ;])

If you're interested, then just keep reading!

Netflix's Anne With An E: Review

Hello everyone!

I just finished watching the new Netflix original TV show, Anne With an E, which is supposedly based off the beloved classic Anne of Green Gables, which I have read twice. Although I do like the 1985 version, I didn't LOVE it, so I decided to see if this would meet my expectations any better.

I know a lot of people have been wondering whether it's worth watching, so I thought I'd do a review of it. Let's get started!

[Just a note, this review isn't completely spoiler-free. This is for the people who are dedicated fans of the book and have been wondering about this version. It also has content warnings. Yes, I must put them in this review. Yes, 'tis a sad thing.]

May 2017 Wrap-Up

Hello everyone!

Sorry about the lack of a post last week. I had absolutely nothing prepared, and I'm not used to preparing posts on-the-fly anymore. To make up for it, I'll have two posts this week -- this one, and a review of the new Netflix original Anne With an E.

Anyway, today's post is going to be a wrap-up of this month. Let's get right into it!

Schoolgirl Skirt + My New Etsy Shop

Hello everyone!

Skirt: ThisBlueBird
Necklace: Khols
Shoes: Walmart (Hey, they were $5.00 and they are the best pair of loafers ever! How could I turn them down?!)

I received an Etsy gift card for my birthday from my aunt. After a few days figuring out what clothes I wanted, I finally ordered two pieces that I thought would go together. I am very happy with the way they look. The brown sweater is also SO soft, guys, and so comfy!!
I've had the necklace for awhile. I actually got it to go with another skirt I purchased from Etsy (which you may or may not see in the future). I thought it would go nicely with the outfit, and it adds the perfect touch.

So, I have some exciting news! I'm opening an Etsy shop to go with this blog. That is also something I had been wanting to do for a long time, so I'm thrilled to finally make it happen.

Although I only have five listings so far, I have opened the place. I have some nice vintage gloves listed, plus a couple 1960's books, among other goodies. Until May 22nd, 2017 you can get 10% off your order with the code OPEN1. Check it out here! :)

Thanks for reading!

Hello everyone!

My thirteenth birthday was recently. I got some fun presents, so I thought it would be fun to show you all what I received! Just a disclaimer, I'm not trying at all to brag. I just love reading posts like this, so I thought all of you blog readers would enjoy reading through it, too.

If you are interested, then just keep reading!

Spring, Please

Dress: 1970's vintage
Heels: The American Girl Shoe, circa 1940s-1950s
Necklace: JCPenney's

My high-heels (which I only wore for the purpose of this outfit . . . they are a little too high and skinny for me to wear on a regular basis :P) I got at The Salvation Army. Now usually that thrift store doesn't really have the greatest shoes, but I was just browsing around and saw these. I was like huh, those look vintage.
Naturally since they were only $4.00 I bought them, and when I got home I did some research. They look to be from the 1940's-50's, from a company called "The American Girl Shoe Company".

I have a really cool story about the dress I'm wearing, but I'm going to save that for another post.

I hope you all enjoyed! Thanks for reading!
